Which size fits my Porsche model and year? +
We carry 6 size variants to cover every Porsche generation. GY-C1 fits Cayenne (2010–2018), Boxster (2013–2019), Cayman (2013–2019), Macan (2013–2023), and 911 (2013–2018). GY-C2 fits Cayenne (2008–2010). GY-C3 fits Cayenne (2003–2006). GY-C4 fits Cayenne (2019–2023), 911 (2019–2023), Cayman (2020–2023), Boxster (2020–2023), and Taycan (2019–2022 — not 2023). GY-C5 fits Boxster (2004–2011), Cayman (2005–2012), Panamera (2010–2016), and 911 (2004–2012). GY-C6 fits Panamera 971 G2 (2017–2023). Not sure? What is the Dynamic Porsche Door Light and how is it different? +
The Dynamic Porsche Door Light ($69.99) features an animated scrolling light effect across the Crest projection — the logo appears to move and shimmer rather than displaying as a static image. It uses a motorised lens mechanism to create this effect and is available in multiple colour variants. It is our most premium Porsche option and particularly popular with 911 Turbo and Taycan owners. The standard static Crest lights ($44.99) project a crisp, sharp static image — equally impressive but without the animation.
Is installation plug-and-play? Do I need a mechanic? +
Yes — completely plug-and-play. Use a flathead screwdriver to lever out the existing factory door light, unplug the connector, plug in the new Porsche puddle light, and press it back into place. Under 5 minutes per door. No drilling, no wiring, no modifications. Models before 2010 require a special adapter cable — contact us after ordering and we will send it free of charge. A full installation guide is included with every order.
Will these cause warning lights on my Porsche PCM? +
No. Our Porsche puddle lights are built with intelligent CANbus decoding chips that match your car’s original current draw exactly. The Porsche PCM sees the same electrical load as the factory light — preventing any warning lights or error messages. Fully compatible with all Porsche CANbus systems including those on the Taycan electric platform.
Will aftermarket puddle lights void my Porsche warranty? +
No. Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (US) and equivalent EU and UK consumer protection laws, a dealer cannot void your warranty for installing an aftermarket accessory unless they prove it directly caused the fault.
